    Marketing Executive

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Marketing executive assists the marketing manager to plan, develop and implement marketing activities for Trafalgar on all touchpoints related to customer experience such as, but not limited to, ATL, BTL, CRM, Visual Merchandising, promotions and trade activations & events – keeping in mind the brands’ standards and budgets. He/she will work closely with brand managers, retail team, suppliers and brand representatives.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Assist in building a marketing plan/calendar for the different brands in close co-operation with the Marketing Manager/Brand Manager and the Brand(s) marketing departments
    • Timely planning and execution of marketing events and activities
    • Follow-up closely with all parties (internal & external stakeholders) to ensure timely execution of the activities/campaigns for each brand
    • Ensure brand positioning and image is as per the brand guidelines
    • Work closely with Visual Merchandiser to ensure the stores are well-merchandized and VM animation is in accordance to brand guidelines and campaign schedule
    • Plan and execute promotions by coordinating with retail/commercial team
    • Conduct regular market and store visits to monitor competitors’ activities, collect consumer insights and eventually propose ways to cater to customer demands
    • Define marketing objectives with the support of commercial team targeted towards VIP retention and acquiring new customers
    • Report the monthly marketing expenditure per brand and underline any budget excess or underspend
    • Liaise with merchandiser on marketing campaigns to ensure stock arrives on time
    • Build good rapport with store teams, brand managers and other stakeholders in the company
    • Coordinate with suppliers and handle orders/production of marketing material and BTL tools (i.e.: leaflets/showcards/visuals/promotional assets etc.) ensuring availability in line with the marketing/promotional campaign
    • Negotiate the best rate with suppliers to ensure budget is being optimized efficiently
    • Manage relationship with different agencies
    • Coordinate with media agency on media plans
    • Brief the PR agency about the PR campaign
    • Review content to ensure it’s in line with the brand’s tone of voice
    • Forecast the Media plan by or not later than September each year
    • Digital media will be handled by the Digital Marketing team. Contents deliverable is owned by the marketing executive in order to ensure the consistency of the image and the message on all touchpoints.
    • Prepare post implementation report for each marketing/promotional campaign, including ROI calculation and evaluation
    • Prepare quarterly reports with a recap on what took place in the quarter
    • Manage SMS and Newsletter content to give directions to the CRM manager
    • Support the CRM Manager in segmentation and cohort analysis
    • Coordinate with the CRM Manager quarterly objectives with the support of commercial team targeted towards VIP retention and new customers acquisition
    • Follow with the CRM Manager the customer database update with the support from shop floors to ensure enriched data collection

     

    SUPERVISION REQUIRED/GIVEN:

    • Receives general supervision from the Marketing Manager
    • Exercises functional and technical supervision over lower level sales staff.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

    • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills.
    • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
    • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment
    • Able to analyze and interpret information
    • Creative
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Able to work independently or as part of a team
    • Self-motivated and works well under pressure
    • 360 project approach
    • High attention to detail
    • Great knowledge and interest for retail
    • Arabic speaking is a plus
    • 3 years of experience in marketing, ideally in luxury retail
    • Experience managing multiple campaigns and stakeholders. Multiple brands is a plus
    • Experience in executing online and offline marketing initiatives

    Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics
